The 2025 Bahamas Missions Trip Team

Pastor Gary and Jhan Sauer
We are excited to bring students and others on a mission trip to the Bahamas! Our desire is two-fold: to continue discipleship with the college students we have been working with all year and to support the Mastins in their mission to reach Bahamian youth through sport. We look forward to seeing each person’s dependance on God increase as he or she is stretched spiritually, ourselves included. We are really looking forward to the unity and true fellowship that occurs when a group works together for a common goal. We are praying that this trip increases our faith and vision for ministry at home.
Myles Goddard
Hello! My name is Myles Goddard, and I am from Long Island, New York. I major in Journalism and Broadcasting with a minor in Graphic Degree at SUNY Brockport. I played football for the Brockport Football Team for the past three years. Even though I went to church my whole life, I was introduced to the true gospel my first year here at Brockport by Gary Sauer, which is how I got involved with Athletes in Rochester. In January of 2023 I gave my life to Jesus Christ and was baptized by my father later in May. This will be my second missions trip and I am excited for my faith to be stretched by God and for me and my team to share the gospel of Jesus Christ while getting to fellowship with them! I cannot wait to be a blessing because God has been a blessing to me and my team!

Mikayla Chapin
Hello, my name is Mikayla Chapin. I have grown up in Rochester, New York. I currently work as a Marketing Director and also own MC Productions, a media business. This will be my second missions trip, and I am really excited to see what God does through the team while we are in Nassau. I am honored to be able to use the gifts God has given me in videography/photography, music, and maybe even a little soccer (I’m a little rusty). Ultimately, I believe the Lord has given me a love for people and a desire to help them see Jesus for who He REALLY is. During this trip, I am excited to see how God uses these different giftings to make a difference in someone’s life for eternity.
Reagan Alexander
Hello! My name is Reagan Alexander, and I’m from Theresa, New York. I’m currently a Physical Education major at SUNY Brockport and a member of the men’s lacrosse team. Recently, the Lord answered my prayers by surrounding me with an incredible group of college-aged Christians. On top of that, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to go on my first mission trip. Having been involved in sports my whole life, I was thrilled at the chance to serve the Lord by teaching basketball and soccer to Bahamian youth. I’m excited to witness how God works through sports and through the missionaries involved to glorify His kingdom. Throughout this journey, I’m also looking forward to growing closer to God and seeing others around me impacted by the power of Christ.

Jeremiah Miller
Hello! My name is Jeremiah Miller, and I am from Spencerport, New York. I am currently a junior at SUNY Brockport studying Finance. I attended Northstar Christian Academy, a Christian school where I was regularly involved in programs that put Christ first. I served as a chaplain and co-president of the American Christian Honor Society and was also a member of the Mission One Bible Club. Through these experiences, I was able to learn so much about the Lord and truly how great He is. I gave my life to Christ in April 2020 and was baptized shortly after, never looking back. This will be my first international missions trip, and I am very excited to go to the Bahamas to share the love of God and show the world just how great Christ is!
Mara Briggs
Hello! My name is Mara Briggs. I am from Lyons, New York. I moved to Brockport to attend SUNY Brockport and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in 2023. I currently work for Monroe County Department of Human Services as a case manager for Child Protective. I grew up with an understanding of who Jesus was, but I didn’t meet him personally until the gospel was made clear to me through Athletes in Rochester in college. I am so excited to coach basketball, the sport that I love the most. Jesus called us to a life of serving, and that is what I am looking to do on this trip. This will be my third mission, and I couldn’t be more excited to see how God works in and through me, and those that are attending with me.

McKenzie Snitchler
Hello! My name is McKenzie Snitchler, and I am from Churchville, New York. I major in
marketing at SUNY Brockport. When I was in high school, I joined Young Life. This is a Christian youth group that welcomes students all around the area from multiple school districts. I am now a Young Life leader for the Rochester area! I enjoy working with the students each year and watching them grow physically and spiritually, just as my leaders helped me grow. In winter 2020, I gave my life to Christ and chose to be baptized soon after. This is my second missions trip, I am returning to the Bahamas with Athletes in Rochester! I am looking forward to the opportunities to grow in my faith and serve others outside of my community!
Brian and Gabby Kabat
Hello, we are Brian and Gabby and we are the Kabat’s. We have been married for 3 years and have known each other for 6 years. Brian gave his life to Christ in 2003 and Gabby gave her life to Christ in 2015. We have been attending our current church together since 2020 and in 2021 and 2023, we were baptized. We love to play soccer together and have collectively been playing for 49 years. We also love finding new ways to grow in our faith and serve the Lord together. This will be our first mission trip together as husband and wife. We are looking forward to the way that God will use each of us individually, as well as the way that he will grow our marriage in unity. We are also looking forward to serving alongside our mission’s team and sharing the gospel with the Bahamas community.

Sarah Zupanek
Hello, my name is Sarah Zupanek, I am from Youngstown Ohio. I am a kinesiology major. I have been going to church for as long as I could remember but I never really knew who God was. In the summer of 2020, my heart came to know God and I started forming a relationship with Him, rather than just following a religion. I have been blessed with the chance to go back to the Bahamas this summer to further my relationship with God and experience sharing the good news. This is my second mission trip, and I can’t wait to see how God works through our team!
Daniel Miller
Hi! My name is Daniel Miller. I am currently out of school, graduated from SUNY Brockport with an Exercise Science with the concentration in Strength and Conditioning. In September 2025, I will be attending Northeast College of Health Sciences to pursue a Doctor in Chiropractic graduate degree. I attend First Bible Baptist and Calvary Chapel Westside. I dedicated my life to Christ at a young age, and ever since, my faith has been the foundation of everything I do. This mission’s trip is an opportunity to step out in faith, serve compassion, and also be a part of what God is doing in others around the world. I cannot wait what God has in store for my team and I this year!

Colden Ives
Hello, my name is Colden Ives and I am from Tully, New York. I am Majoring in Psychology with a minor is Philosophy and Coaching at SUNY Brockport. I grew up in a religious household, but as time passed and sports got in the way I strayed from the path of faith. I am also on the Brockport Lacrosse team too, through which my faith was rekindled and strengthened. This will be my first Missions trip, through which I hope to strengthen my faith and relationship with God, and to see how God will use myself and others.
